25.07.2025. The 4th edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo concluded on 15 June in Hunan, under the theme “China-Africa: Advancing Modernization Together.” With participation from over 53 African countries, the event offered a vital platform to promote economic cooperation and innovation across sectors.
A dedicated 200 m² national pavilion brought together key players from the Republic of Congo, including representatives from the Ministry of Forestry Economy and Agriculture, financial institutions, local artisans and private operators from the agriculture and forestry sectors—among them INTERHOLCO.
The opening ceremony was attended by high-level government officials, including Congo’s Minister of SMEs Jacqueline Lydia Mikolo, Minister of Agriculture Paul Valentin Ngobo, Minister of International Cooperation Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, and Minister of Forestry Economy Rosalie Matondo, who also visited each exhibitor at the Congo pavilion.
During their visit to our stand, our representative Orderic Coureau had the opportunity to present our industrial wood processing activities, our firm commitment to forest protection and sustainability and the importance we place on certification, responsible resource management and the well-being of workers and local communities.
We showcased our wide range of value-added products—from sawn timber and decking boards to glulam components—highlighting our ongoing efforts to maximize resource efficiency.
Our presence at this major forum confirmed our role as a key ambassador for sustainable forestry in Africa and a trusted partner for industrial innovation rooted in responsible forest management.
