You will ensure the proper execution of forestry operations in the field. You will ensure operational performance (volumes, quality, deadlines) while guaranteeing the safety of the teams and compliance with FSC standards. You will work closely with the Forest Director, to whom you report directly.

Congo-Brazzaville (as it's often called to distinguish it from Democratic Republic of Congo, south of the Congo River) enjoys a pleasantly laid-back capital city in Brazzaville, some sunny beaches on its Atlantic coastline (Pointe Noire) and the warmth of Congolese culture.
Our wood production and transformation facility, IFO, is neatly situated in the North of Congo, some 900 km away from Brazzaville. Located in the village of Ngombé, on the Sangha river, IFO is surrounded by tropical forest, a natural wonder hosting half of the world’s lowland gorillas, thousands of forest elephants and troops of chimpanzees, just opposite Odzala Nkokoua, one of Congo’s three national parks, where anything from luxurious eco-lodging to bush camping is possible.
Close to the border with Cameroon, IFO offers easy access to the nearby town of Ouesso (31'000 inhabitants), a bustling and friendly place with good fish and high standard of cooking restaurants as well as charming paillotte (straw awning) buildings. An airport with mostly 3 flights a week connects Ouesso to Brazzaville.
Founded by Italo-French explorer Pietro Paolo Savorgnan di Brazzà in 1880, Brazzavile (1'800'000 inhabitants) is served by an international airport, Maya Maya, providing easy access to flights to Europe and the rest of the world.
With a large number of embassies and international organizations, Brazzaville boasts attractive modernist buildings, a gorgeous riverside with plenty of high-quality eating options and hotel facilities. Brazza (as the city is also called) is by far the more laid-back and safer economic partner of Kinshasa (the DRC’s capital), which is just across the immense Congo river.
