22.04.2020. This year, tv channel ARTE celebrates International Earth Day with a new broadcast of 'Congo, Protecting the Gorilla Forests'. Filmed in the North of Congo Brazzaville, partly in the forest which INTERHOLCO manages sustainably, the documentary won Germany's prestigious nature film prize for 2019, the coveted Deutscher NaturfilmPreis.

This year, humanity faces the spread of COVID-19. Among others, the survival of forest dwellers and biodiversity is at stake. That is why INTERHOLCO has launched : to win the battle against the spread of COVID-19 by leaving no one behind.

Forest inhabitants in the ARTE documentary

We are already protecting more than 1 million hectares of forest from man-made changes and crimes that disrupt biodiversity, such as deforestation, land-use change, intensified agriculture and livestock production or the growing illegal wildlife trade. But given the magnitude of COVID-19, we cannot do it alone. We need help to ensure access to medical care for 10,000 people in the village where we are located - 16,000 including forest dwellers,’ said INTERHOLCO CEO Ulrich Grauert.

Please help, donate now to help us purchase essential materials: oxygen ventilators, flash thermometers, masks, safety equipment, etc.
